Level 2 coaches learn and develop in Prague

Following the activation of the Coaches Certification Programme (CCP), the UIPM conducted a Level 2 course during the 2017 UIPM U19 World Championships in Prague (CZE) from July 17 to 22.

Coaches from Australia, Germany and Mexico learned about and discussed several subjects including:

• Advanced Laser-Run and Swimming training

• Integration of Riding and Fencing to periodisation

• Anti-doping and competition organisation  

Luigi Filipponi (ITA), the course instructor, said: “It was an amazing opportunity to share my experience and knowledge in Modern Pentathlon with coaches from different countries.

"Participants were so enthusiastic and I am sure after this opportunity they went back to their home countries with new ideas and concepts to adapt their training routine.”

UIPM President Dr Klaus Schormann awarded the coaches with certificates and decorative pins in a ceremony after the U19 World Championship Women´s Final.

The next Level 2 Coaches Course will be held in Merida (MEX) in August 2017 during the Pan American qualification tournament for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
