UIPM 2019 Annual Awards: Recognition for Clouvel (FRA), Choong (GBR) and HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco

Elodie Clouvel of France and Joseph Choong of Great Britain won the top prizes of Best Female and Male Pentathlete respectively at the UIPM 2019 Annual Awards Gala Dinner in Budapest on September 7.

Ahmed Elgendy of Egypt won the Best Junior Male Pentathlete for the second year in succession, while the Best Junior Female award went to Rebecca Langrehr of Germany.

All four of the individual athlete awards were subject to an online public vote.

There were Development Awards for Thailand and Peru and a Best Contribution for experienced UIPM technical delegate and coach Bernhard Petruschinski (GER).

UIPM’s Honorary President, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, was inducted into the UIPM Hall of Fame and received his certificate in person before making a speech.

Best Promoted Competition: UIPM 2019 Pentathlon World Cup Final, Tokyo (JPN)

Development Awards: Thailand, Peru

Best Contribution to the Sport: Bernhard Petrsuchinski

UIPM Hall of Fame: HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, UIPM Honorary President
