UIPM 2015 World Cup #2 - New shooting World Record

CAIRO, 20 MARCH 2015 - Today's Qualification for Men's Individual of World Cup #2 peaked at the end of the of the day in the Combined event with a new World Record in the shooting series with Germany's Marvin Dogue hitting 5 shots in 5.9 seconds.

Competition for the 36 places in Sunday's Final was hard fought throughout but in the end, there were no surprises as World Number One athlete and current World Champion Aleksander Lesun of Russia qualified together with the silver medallist from the World Championships Amro El Geziry who will have the home crowd behind him as he aims for Gold.

Winner of last year's World Cup here in Cairo, Riccardo de Luca of Italy also made it through as did London 2012 Olympic Bronze medallist, Hungary's Adam Marosi and the UIPM 2015 World Cup #1 winner James Cooke (GBR).
