UIPM 2019 Pentathlon World Cup Szekesfehervar continued today in Hungary with 95 athletes taking part in the qualifying round for the Men's Individual Final.

The Rio 2016 Olympic champion, Alexander Lesun of Russia, was the best performer with a total of 1167 points, including a fantastic score of 26V/6D in Fencing.

Other notable qualifiers included world champion Jamie Cooke of Great Britain, world No.1 Jun Woongtae of Korea, Valentin Prades of France, Ahmed Elgendy of Egypt, Pavlo Tymoshchenko of Ukraine, Patrick Dogue of Germany and Bence Demeter of host nation Hungary.

Pentathlon World Cup Szekesfehervar continues tomorrow (May 3) with the Women's Final, followed by the Men’s Final on Saturday, May 4 and the Mixed Relay on Sunday, May 5.
