UIPM 2026 Pentathlon U19 World Championships: Joy for Korea teens in Mixed Relay

Korea joined the gold rush at the UIPM 2026 Pentathlon U19 World Championships with a thrilling victory in the Mixed Relay for Gayeon Kim and Saechan Park.

The Koreans won by 5sec from Germany duo Charlotte Keister and Luis Thieke, with Switzerland just 2sec adrift as Leah Kocher and Ueli Jurt fought hard to keep their place on the podium.   

In a stacked 22-nation field, Korea (Kim/Park) took the initiative in Fencing with 29 wins as Hungary (Boglarka Csanak and Levente Bognar) claimed 28. Obstacle Racing was dominated by the Germans with a time of 55.35sec, before neutral athletes Victoria Kharichkova and Grigorii Fominykh performed best in Swimming with a collective 52.77.  

A fantastic 13:24 Laser Run time by Brazil duo Nicole Faria and Jhon De Lima earned them a notable 4th place overall, while the Germans and Koreans were next-fastest, ensuring that the gold and silver medallist excelled right to the finish line.
