UIPM Executive Board and Technical Committee updates

In November during the 73rd UIPM Congress, several newcomers were elected to the UIPM Executive Board under the Presidency of Rob Stull OLY.

In the four weeks since, three more members have been confirmed to serve at Modern Pentathlon’s highest tier of governance:

·        Dr Doug Stull of USA was elected as Chair of the UIPM Medical Committee, having been part of the Commission since 2016.

·        Magdalena Quintanilla of Guatemala will serve on the UIPM Executive Board as President of the NORCECA Confederation, succeeding UIPM President Rob Stull.

·        Andrew Collings of New Zealand will serve on the UIPM Executive Board as President of the Oceania Confederation, succeeding UIPM Vice President Kitty Chiller AM OLY.

With the addition of these three members, the new EB is only two seats from completion, with the UIPM Athletes Committee and Coaches Committee having not yet elected their Chair. EB profiles can be read here.

The UIPM Technical Committee is now at full capacity, after the final six members were appointed to serve alongside the six elected by UIPM Congress. The six appointed members are:

·        Zhenhua Qian of China

·        Michele Di Berardino of Italy

·        Edyta Malosyc of Poland

·        Corine Bouzou of France

·        Rafael Acosta of Argentina

·        Sergio Salazar of Mexico
