What is UIPM Obstacle Sports?

Obstacle Sports is the universal term for all standalone disciplines under the jurisdiction of UIPM as the sole governing body for the global Obstacle Sports community since 2026. The second edition of the unified UIPM Obstacle World Championships takes place at Universal Studios Resort Beijing from September 4-7, 2026 as part of the Race Across China. Obstacle Racing is the thrilling new Modern Pentathlon discipline that has transformed the sport ahead of its Olympic debut in Los Angeles (USA) in 2028. The head-to-head Ninja-style race, based on the successful SASUKE and Ninja Warrior television shows, features alongside Fencing, Swimming and Laser Run in the reimagined Olympic sport.
