UIPM 2026 Tetrathlon U15 World Championships: Kosa (HUN) soars to Women's gold 

Nora Kosa of Hungary confirmed her status as a rising star of the next generation of multisports as she scorched 35 challengers from across the globe to be crowned champion in the Women’s Final at the UIPM 2026 Tetrathlon U15 World Championships. 

In the Spanish capital of Madrid, a place known for its footballing galacticos, Kosa looked every inch a superstar in the making as she delivered a dominant victory in Wednesday’s decider. 

The 14-year-old had recently claimed a top-10 finish at the UIPM 2026 Pentathlon U17 World Championships in Kaunas (LTU) and used all of that experience to her advantage in a nerveless display, accentuated by a devastating Laser Run. 

Kosa (HUN) had been second fasted of the 36-strong final field in Obstacle Racing, clocking 27.11sec, just a sliver behind leader Nadia Szopa of Poland. However, Kosa (HUN) would take a grip on proceedings in the pool as she topped the Swimming discipline in 01:00.23, a full two seconds faster than her next closest rival, Rui Kazuyama of Japan. 

Starting the decisive Laser Run with an 18-second advantage Kosa (HUN) would show no nerves as she stretched that lead to almost 30 seconds by the time she broke the tape as champion. Behind her was a frenetic fight for medals which came down to split seconds. Ines Esteves Carvalho of Portugal and Alisa Kvashneuskaya (AIN) with Jana Ali Heza of Egypt unfortunate to miss out. In fifth was Karla Mederos of Mexico with Seina Kobayashi (JPN) sixth. 

Gold medalist Nora Kosa (HUN) said: “I’m so happy. It’s my first time as a world champion! Thanks to my mother and my coaches and my siblings. They have been helping me every time.”
