UIPM TV: Subscribe today to watch the best Modern Pentathlon action all year round

MONACO: March 19, 2021 – The online home of Modern Pentathlon broadcasting has been relaunched with a new subscription model that provides a one-stop shop for the sport’s global digital community.

As of March 15, 2021, the majority of Modern Pentathlon content on UIPM TV ( became available only to subscribers. Live coverage of the Laser Run in each competition – together with highlights from earlier in the day – remains free to watch.

Viewers who do not wish to subscribe can register their details on the site to access the free coverage, which will not be available anywhere else online. Footage from Biathle/Triathle, Laser Run and UIPM virtual events will also remain free, as well as educational content.

  • Sign up here for your UIPM TV Yearly Pass or register for free content.

Annual subscriptions will be priced at €29.99 with a special 50% discount (code: UIPM50%OFF) available throughout 2021, reducing the price to €14.95.

Subscribers will receive unlimited access for a full year to all live streams in the UIPM Pentathlon World Cup and World Championships. All disciplines are included: Swimming (World Cup Final, World Championships only), Fencing Bonus Round, Riding and Laser Run.

As well as viewing the live show, subscribers will be able to access archive footage from previous events, and more historic content will be added during 2021.

UIPM TV was initially launched in February 2016 ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, completing UIPM’s digital ecosystem, and the establishment of a subscription model serves two purposes. It is in tune with the governing body’s priority to create new revenue streams to be invested back into the sport, while also providing fans with exclusive content.

UIPM Secretary General Shiny Fang explained: “For many years when you looked around for action videos of UIPM Sports and relevant archive materials, YouTube was the main or only platform to search, and the content was not assembled well on that medium.

“That is why we established our own over-the-top online TV channel – – and after a couple years of running experiences, from 2021 UIPM is making additional efforts to enhance the platform.

“We are aiming to provide a one-stop destination for our audience, fans, participants, families and friends to find the ultimate visual contents related to Modern Pentathlon and all other UIPM Sports.”

The first competition of the season and the resumption of qualification for the rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is now just five days away, with UIPM 2021 Pentathlon World Cup Budapest beginning on March 24. Live coverage on UIPM TV will begin with the Women’s Final on March 26.

UIPM President Dr Klaus Schormann added: “I encourage all fans of our sport who are watching competitions online to visit and register their details to ensure they can see the exciting race to qualify for the Olympic Games in 2021 unfold.

“The online broadcasting of Modern Pentathlon has evolved into a very strong product and with your support we hope to establish UIPM TV as the home of our sport for digital viewers for many years to come.”
