President Schormann hails ‘super atmosphere’ of joint meetings in Frankfurt (GER)

For the third year in succession, UIPM held a joint meeting of its Athletes, Coaches and Technical Committees in Frankfurt (GER) on January 23-25.

The ad-hoc New Pentathlon and New Tetrathlon Working Groups also convened to discuss and agree proposals to go before the Executive Board relating to format changes for the Dakar 2022 Youth Olympic Games and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

UIPM President Dr Klaus Schormann said: “The joint meetings of UIPM Committees and Working Groups in Frankfurt-am-Main on January 23-25 took place in a super atmosphere.

“We are proud to have created a forum where so many of the key influencers and decision-makers in our movement can come together to discuss and make proposals about the future direction of our sport.

“It is very important to give all important groups in our movement, especially the athletes, a voice.”

The UIPM Executive Board will meet at Olympic House in Lausanne (SUI), the new headquarters of the International Olympic Committee, on January 30-31.
