Trophee Ulysse sees young generation get first taste of competitive Pentathon

Modern Pentathlon

Held in Perpignan, in the south of France, the second edition of the Trophee Ulysse Open Youth Mediterranean Cup was a resounding success with a huge number of young participants taking part and getting their first experience of competitive Modern Pentathlon.

Although the sun was shining, the weather conditions were not perfect with these budding young pentathletes having to deal with the powerful sirocco wind. However the local organising commiteee did a sterling job and the competition was first class with parents delighted with the environment and the set-up for their children. The event offered draws from Youth E all the way up to Youth A.

Friendships were made as the kids from all the different nations interacted with each other in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where results were not important only the experience and the feel for competition.

Organised by the Comité Régional Languedoc Roussillon de Pentathlon Moderne, this competition and LOC definitely has the potential to host Category A and elite athletes in the future.
