UIPM 2025 Tetrathlon U15 World Championships: Fourth gold medals for Ramadan and Salem (EGY) in Mixed Relay

Tetrathlon

Nour Ramadan and Adam Salem enabled host nation Egypt to complete a clean sweep of gold medals on the final day of the UIPM 2025 Tetrathlon U15 World Championships.

Having already won world titles in the Women’s/Men’s Relay, Individual and Team categories, the champions teamed up to win the Mixed Relay – again holding off strong competition from Türkiye.

When they came out on top in Swimming, Elif Duman and Mehmet Ozkan (TUR) had the leaders in their sights but they couldn’t stand the heat in Laser Run, timing 9min 18.40sec compared to the Egyptians’ 9:02.83 to finally finish 36sec behind the favourites.

Mexico went home with a bronze medal thanks to Grecia Alejandre and Diego Castillo claiming a clear 3rd place, 22sec behind the Turks.

Obstacle was again key to the success of Egyptian athletes, whose mastery of the discipline has been evident in multiple age groups in the past two years. Ramadan and Salem (EGY) were the only team to go under 1min with an excellent 55.44sec putting them 20 points ahead of Duman/Ozkan (TUR) in the opening discipline.

Gold medallist Ramadan (EGY) said: “I’m so happy and so are my coaches and my family. Obstacle was good today, I made a new record. I hope to go to the Olympics and take more gold medals.”

Her partner Salem (EGY) added: “I am very happy at the end of the competition, because I won four gold medals. This one made me happiest because I could share it with my team-mates. I got my best Swimming time today. My role model is Ahmed Elgendy and my dream is to be Olympic champion like him.”
