Hundreds of international athletes  - a great number of whom participated in all competitions - from across the globe amazed spectators with their stamina, determination and passion over three days of competition as they pushed themselves to the limit in this Biathe / Triathle World Championships 2014 held at the Naval Academy of Puerto San Jose, from October 8th-10th.

The athletes taking part were as young as 11 years of age in the Youth E categories, to those in the Masters D category where competitors were over 70 years old.

It made for a compelling and exciting three days of competition in Guatemala which was made all the more special as it is the first time the World Championships have been all inclusive with races for athletes with both mental disability and visual impairment.

As always, the Championships attracted a top class field of competitors for both Biathle and Triathle but this time, with 12 Paralympic athletes taking part, this event made a clear step forward for all.

The Puerto San Jose Naval Academy was the perfect venue for the championships, which were also blessed with beautiful weather and conditions that were greatly appreciated by all who were involved from athletes to officials and spectators.

Host nation Guatemala were among the many countries from across the globe who tasted medal success over three thrilling days of competition held at the Naval Academy of Puerto San Jose from October 8th-10th.

Russia and Japan also featured prominently along with the likes of South Africa and Egypt as an impressive array of countries from across the world ensured they were strongly represented at the World Championships.

First time medallists Georgia, who have only recently joined the ever-growing Biathle and Triathle movement, were one of the debuting countries who were quickly welcomed and integrated in to the sporting family which continues to touch the hearts and minds of competitors and fans throughout the world.

The excellent efforts carried out by the Organising Committee were also one of the important aspects of these 3 days.
