UIPM 2016 Junior World Championships: Men`s Qualification
CAIRO, EGYPT - Today the best young men`s athletes in the world started the qualification in style at the UIPM 2016 World Junior Championships in Cairo.
The championships run from September 12-18 and, with athletes from 17 nations taking part, the Men's Individual qualifying event was a spectacular showcase for the emerging talent in the sport.
The Rio 2016 Olympians Joseph Choong (GBR), Charles Fernandez (GUA), Jun Woongtae (KOR), Max Esposito (AUS) and Christian Zillekens (GER), besides the 2014 Youth Olympic Champion Alexander Lifanov (RUS) are some of the athletes qualified to the Final.
Among that group of Olympians, Max Esposito finished 7th in Rio 2016, Joseph Choong was 10th, Charles Fernandez 15th, Jun Woongtae 19th and Zillekens 21st.
