UIPM OPENS NEW POSITIONS AHEAD OF UIPM 2022 SEASON COMPETITION EVENTS

UIPM is looking for :

I.            MC (Master of Ceremony) announcer

We are receiving applications for a freelance announcing position from UIPM 2022 season competition events. A good in-stadium announcer is a key component to making the Pentathlon experience successful for spectators and athletes alike. The job of the announcer is to engage the audience with the action taking place on the field of play (FOP). This includes announcements, announcing relevant parts of an athlete’s bio, calling the play-by-play of a race or match and of course announcing scores, who the current leader is at any time, changes in position, and generally keeping the audience excited, knowledgeable and engaged with the action on the FOP.

 

Our preferred candidate will:

•            Have a good knowledge of the sports industry and competition events;

•            Have excellent announcing skills in English;

•            Ability to think quickly and ad-lib;

•            Willing to travel abroad on a frequent basis;

•            Be trustworthy, flexible and demonstrate capacity to change in on-air style.

 

Experience is preferred, but we are open to applications from well-trained beginners.

You will become a valued asset to UIPM staff and part of its global community.

 

 

II.           Second-voice commentator (pundit)

We are calling the Pentathlon community for an opportunity to become a regular second-voice commentator on our UIPM TV show! Take this opportunity to be part of the team and get a unique perspective on what goes on behind the scenes.

 

Our preferred candidate will:

•            Give his/her expert insight on the live sporting action;

•            Work with the lead commentator.

 

 

III.         Sports Photographer

We are receiving applications for a freelance professional sports photographer to enlarge the photographers pool and work on UIPM sporting events including its flagship Olympic sport, Modern Pentathlon.

 

Our preferred candidate will:

•            Join the pool of regular season sports photographers;

•            Shoot on site for press purposes, media and social media use;

•            Deliver batches of photographs after each competition day in a short time;

•            Be experienced in multisport events (not specifically from MP);

•            Provide quality and creative content.
