A warm welcome to the UIPM Executive Board ahead of the 68th Annual Congress
Senior figures of the global Modern Pentathlon movement have been welcomed in Germany ahead of the 68th UIPM Congress in Frankfurt-am-Main (November 25/26).
The State Secretary of the Hessen regional government, Werner Koch, formally welcomed members of the UIPM Executive Board including President Dr Klaus Schormann and Secretary General Shiny Fang at a dinner held at the State Chancellery.
Mr Koch made a speech in which he underlined the strong ties between the region and the core Olympic sport of Modern Pentathlon, recognising that the German Modern Pentathlon Association (DVMF) has been based in Darmstadt since 1985.
President Dr Schormann in turn thanked the government of Hessen for its long-standing commitment to the sport of Modern Pentathlon in the region.
The UIPM Executive Board meets on November 23/24 with the Elective Congress for the Olympic cycle 2017-2020 taking place on the following two days.
