Hundreds gather for Laser-Run City Tour in Delhi

Laser Run

India held its 3rd Laser-Run City Tour in the capital city of Delhi on August 27, with 292 athletes taking part.

The event, organized by the Modern Pentathlon Federation of INDIA (MPFI), took place at the Chhatrasal Stadium where there is a synthetic 400m track with eight lanes.

The athletes comprised all age groups from Under-11 to Masters (50+) and included 51 females. Spectators and parents in the stands clearly enjoyed the Laser-Run format.

MPFI also invited athletes from Afghanistan (four) and Bangladesh (one) to participate in the competition (their first involvement in Laser-Run) as part of the federation's development policy with neighbouring countries.

Among the VIP guests in attendance were well-known Indian sports promoters Jitendra Sharma, Usman Siddiqui and Kanhaiya Gujjar, as well as Faiz Ahmed, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Modern Pentathlon Federation. They applauded the LRCT and encouraged local organizations to support and develop the concept of Laser-Run in the country.
