Latvia lead in Mixed Relay before Ride

Veterans Elena Rublevska and Deniss Cerkovskis of Latvia showed again what a great combination they make after the pair's 30 victories on the pistes and placed 17th in the pool to move up into first place with the Ride and Combined to go at the World Championships Mixed Relay.

The two have amassed 1072 points, 120 ahead of their nearest rivals, Poland's Katarzyna Wocjik and Bartosz Majewski and the American duo of Margaux Isaksen and Nathan Schrimsher after the first event of the day and their time of 2:04.85 was enough to keep them in the lead.

Elodie Clouvel and Valentin Belaud moved up to third behind the USA pair with the Polish team going down to sixth.

The fastest swimmers, Samantha Murray and Joe Evans from Great Britain are up to 4th overall.
