Masters from four continents represented in Hurghada (EGY)

The first International Egyptian Masters Championship (IEMCH2017) was held in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada (EGY) from March 3-6, 2017.

The Senzo Sporting Club was the main venue with the Riding event held at the Egyptian Riding School (ERS) in the capital Cairo.

Participants came from six countries representing four continents: Oceania (New Zealand), Europe (Great Britain, Germany & Ukraine), Asia (Palestine) and the host continent Africa (Egypt). They competed in 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+ categories.

There were individual Modern Pentathlon and Tetrathlon events as well as a Men's Relay and a Mixed Relays.

The governor of the Red Sea, General Ahmed Abdullah, attended the opening ceremony along with the President of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, Sharif Elerian, as well as the UIPM Masters Committee members Shereen Saleh (EGY) and Heidi Walli (FIN).

The competition director was Samy Awad (EGY), member of the UIPM Coaches Committee.
