Modern Pentathlon Takes Centre Stage at Moldovan Olympic Day

The Olympic Day in Moldova was marked with the traditional Olympic Fest, a sport festival organized by the National Olympic and Sports Committee of the Republic of Moldova, taking place on May 23 at the main square of Chisinau, the capital city.

More than 12000 participants gathered the celebration and among 12 kinds of sport presented, modern pentathlon zone was one of the most popular. Every participant of the Olympic Fest could try fencing, using the special fencing equipment for kids, and laser shooting both provided by UIPM as part of the Olympic solidarity program. Laser shooting proved to be one of the major attractions of this Olympic Fest. Pentathletes from Modern Pentathlon Federation of Moldova acted as instructors.
