Update: UIPM 2020 Pentathlon World Cup Final Seoul

UIPM has tonight written to its National Federation members with an update relating to the Coronavirus outbreak and its potential impact on UIPM 2020 Pentathlon World Cup Final Seoul, scheduled to take place in the Korean capital from May 14-17.

A UIPM spokesperson said: “UIPM is in continuous contact and sharing information with the Korean Modern Pentathlon Federation and the local organising committee of UIPM 2020 Pentathlon World Cup Final Seoul.

“UIPM is unable at this time to confirm the feasibility of the competition. A decision will be taken in conjunction with the Korean authorities in due course.

“UIPM’s priority is to safeguard the health of athletes and the many other people involved in its global competition circuit.”

On February 21 UIPM announced the relocation of the UIPM 2020 Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships, which had been due to take place in Xiamen (CHN) from May 25-31.
