13.01.2022: 5th Discipline Working Group UIPM President Dr Klaus Schormann chaired the historic first meeting of the 21-strong working group assembled to determine the future of Modern Pentathlon through a new fifth discipline, which will replace Riding after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It was a hugely productive meeting with an exchange of views from a wide variety of relevant stakeholders, bringing together all available internal and external expertise. The group will now work remotely until the first physical meeting, scheduled for April.

The first super Saturday under Modern Pentathlon’s New Format lived up to its billing as Elena Micheli (ITA) and Christopher Patte (FRA) claimed their first gold medals of the World Cup season in spectacular style at the UIPM 2022 World Cup Cairo.
