DRUSKININKAI, LITHUANIA: August 20, 2025 – All eyes will be on Farida Khalil of Egypt in the next fortnight as Pentathlon’s hottest new talent goes for an unprecedented ‘grand slam’ of youth, junior and senior world titles.
The opening day of action at the UIPM 2025 Pentathlon U19 World Championships saw the pace of life in the spa town of Druskininkai (LTU) kick up a few notches as the best emerging female talents in the world vied for a place in Friday’s Women’s Final.
Omar Amer of Egypt lit up the second day of the UIPM 2025 Pentathlon U19 World Championships with a new overall world record during the Men’s Qualification.
Amer (EGY) scored 1,573 points in winning Group B by 11sec from Danylo Babyi of Ukraine, with Nolan Rosenegger of Canada finishing 3rd to comfortably qualify for Saturday’s Final with 12 athletes from each heat progressing.
