The UIPM 2021 Pentathlon Junior World Championships continued today with 69 athletes taking part in qualification for the Men's Individual Final in Alexandria (EGY).
Among the 36 successful qualifiers were the 2018 champion Ahmed Elgendy of Egypt and top 100-ranked Giorgio Malan of Italy and Kamil Kasperczak of Poland.

An exceptional Laser Run performance enabled Rebecca Castaudi of France to become the first individual junior world champion in two years.
Members of the UIPM Executive Board have created a chorus of congratulations for UIPM’s long-serving President, Dr Klaus Schormann, on the occasion of his 75th birthday (July 17, 2021).
Dr Schormann, from Germany, has been President of UIPM since 1993, after a five-year spell as Vice President for Marketing and Public Relations. Between 1994 and 1996 he was President of the umbrella governing body, UIPMB (Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne et Biathlon).
